Jay-R Reyes dropped 24 points against the Alaska Aces and posted the first franchise win of Rain or Shine against the Aces since joining the league three year ago. Reyes went 8-11 from the field including a perfect 5-5 from beyond the arc. He also grabbed 11 rebounds.
Elasto Painters rookies Sol Mercado and Gabe Norwood also did their parts in keeping the Aces at bay. Mercado finished the game with 20 points while Norwood had 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Alaska, which is still on top of the standings, was led by Willie Miller with 29 points and seven rebounds. Tony Dela Cruz and Sonny Thoss had 13 and 12 points respectively.
The win puts Rain or Shine in the fourth place of the standings with 6 wins and 5 losses while Alaska still sits on top with an 8-3 record.
